Given a fork in the road,
do you take the path
that is worn smooth?
When you get dressed
do you wear what
won’t
get you noticed?
Do you lift your hand
in class
if you
aren’t
sure?
God’s eye is on the brave
and brave is different for
every man
and woman.
There’s freedom
and reward
in stepping out
of the skin
you’ve grown used to.
Don’t assume as far
as you’ve come
is as far as you can
go.
God never runs
out of plans for
us.
We just
stop listening.
Joel,
Your post was very encouraging to me tonight. I just took a leap of faith and quit my job to be self-employed. It is not the path worn smooth but I am definately feeling the freedom! Keep up the posts! Thank you.
Good for you, Tammy, and you’re welcome! I’ll bet you’re the best boss you’ve ever had. 😉
Threat of failing is what stops us from taking bold steps. Love the simplicity of your poem ! 🙂
You’re so right. I think taking those steps and reaping the rewards, or even failing and learning lessons makes being bold worth it. Thanks for reading!
Great post! Three is security in our well-worn ruts but God has so much more for us – the life of faith is an adventure!
Amen, Penny.
